Physical Activity

let's get moving!

Physical activity is any body movement that works your muscles and requires more energy than resting. Being physically active can improve your overall health. Many people do not get enough physical activity daily. There are many benefits to being physically active. The more you do, the greater the health benefits and the better you’ll feel.

How often should I exercise?

150 minutes of moderate exercise per week (at least 30 minutes per day, 5 times a week)or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise per week (at least 25 minutes per day 3 times a week)

  • Helps prevent strokes

  • Boosts mental health

  • Helps manage stress and anger

  • Relieves tension

  • Improves anxiety and depression

  • Improves physical health
